Opioids in Wisconsin

According to state data, more than 1,100 people died from opioids in Wisconsin last year.

The state has filed suit against the maker of OxyContin, alleging that the manufacturer has “helped ignite the drug crisis with deceptive marketing claims”. The state aims to hold individuals responsible for the opioid epidemic. The money from the settlement would go towards Wisconsin opioid treatment, prevention and recovery programs.
